To launch Liverpool’s own 110 sneaker, we were enlisted by Nike to tell the story of the city’s connection to the shoe. In a fiercely proud place with zero tolerance for posers, there was only one way to make it work… in partnership with the locals.

Hours of interviews taught us one thing: that no one tells a story like a Scouser. They’ve even got a name for it: ‘Chatting Wham’. The ability to recount fantastical tales without letting the truth get in the way, which became the basis of the campaign.

From here, we built out a multistage takeover of the city, leading up to October 1st (110 Day), placing an iconic lineup of Liverpudlians alongside the local heroes who’d helped us in those initial stages.

A love letter to the city that made the shoe the global icon it is, featuring a film expertly crafted by Glenn Kitson and a takeover of the Echo newspaper.
